I created Chain Bridge Native Landscapes, located in McLean, Virginia, because I care deeply about the health of our local waterways and the Chesapeake Bay and the positive impact that ecologically responsible landscape practices can have on those precious resources. I provide design and consultation services to property owners in the Northern VIrginia/D.C. area who would like to have an ecologically functional landscape - one that promotes wildlife habitat, natural beauty, and a sense of connection with nature. Native plant garden design, conservation landscapes, rain gardens, and stormwater management are primary areas of focus. I provide these services to clients of all sizes, and to those who are searching for a turnkey solution or those who prefer to do it themselves, but need some assistance.
I am a Certified Virginia Horticulturist and Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP Level 2, Design and Installation) and hold a Master's Degree in Sustainable Landscape Design from George Washington University. I also hold Ph.D., Masters, and Bachelors degrees in Economics. I serve on the Board of the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council, am a Virginia Master Naturalist (certified in Fairfax County), and a member of the Ecological Landscape Alliance, the Virginia Native Plant Society, Earth Sangha, and Landscape Designers Group.
